XPEL of GT3RS front crest/emblem questions.
Planning on installing an XPEL wrap on an inbound GT3RS. I have a question about placing the material over the entire hood and Porsche crest which is a decal and not an actual metal ornament. Do i need to make a cutout of the crest or can I safely place the XPEL material over the crest decal? I am concerned if the XPEL is removed it will take the crest with it.

Install over the sticker unless you are truly OCD. For the OCD, you may want to remove the sticker and have a new one installed on top. This will save you from the extremely minor suspended area around the sticker where the clear bra can't completely connect with the paint. It is very subtle and when I speak of this as an "OCD" thing, I am not using that loosely.
Congrats on the new car!

I had the whole car wrapped with Xpel. My installer pulled the shield and GT3RS on the back off and reapplied on top of the wrap. No big deal if you need to replace, just get a new one.

if the Installer is careful when he goes to remove the ppf, there should be no problems at all. We only remove the crest when we are doing a satin install; and with brand new Porsches, it comes off easily and can be saved for reinstallation if necessary. Otherwise, they are not that expensive to replace.
