Lowest is now around $223-224....

Answer: Supply, demand, and dealer mark ups....As long as there are people paying the mark ups they will continue....

Market decides prices. US market has been very strong. Not many that "need" to sell in today's situation. Once that changes the prices will drop.

You can only hope for those that bought on speculation is getting cold feet. Otherwise the price is what it is.

Limited supply in a good economy. That's about all there is to it.

But if the GT3 RS sounds bad, look at the 911R.

The US is a different market for quite a few segments, and they all have corrections... 991 GT3 coming first.

Agreed. I predict that the floor for a 991.1 GT3 will be around $100-110K (heavily-optioned cars will take a bigger hit than lightly-optioned cars), so I may just keep my 991.1 GT3 for a long time, well into the flattened depreciation curve. RS will eventually correct also, and same for the R. While there's a feeding frenzy right now, the reality is that none of these are 'pure' air-cooled cars, the likes of which will never be made again, and the Mr. Market will eventually realize that.

I agreed the most of you say, but when you compare the worldwide produced amount for the RS 6000 units ( even it's between 4-6000) and 991 units.....I don't see any R will sell below 180k, the mark up is just a BS from the dealer.

Often cars are offered without VAT for export. At list with a few options they get to the price the OP mentions.
