I went with the French seam. At the time I ordered in 2016, I recall Ed said that the majority of people chose that option. Love it and it looks OEM perfect. No regrets.

Just installed Eddies bolster protectors on my new GT3 RS
Easy install and matches the OE perfectly. This is my first lightweight buckets so they will be put to good use https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...43baa025b.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...00afbd9a0.jpeg |

I ordered a set of Eddie's LWBS with Acid Green stitching. The matched the Porsche Acid Green factory threat color spot on!
I took them with me to Germany when I did my Euro Delivery this year and installed them in the hotel parking lot. Took me about 7-8 minutes per side. The hardest part is getting the leather to fit around the switch cut out, but I used an old gift card and pushed the leather behind the bezel like Matt from Obsessed Garage did. Then it was just getting them nice and snug around the bolster by playing with how much you stretched it and sitting against the velcro. I'd glad I got them for my Euro Delivery trip as I got in and out of the car more than I would back home for photo stops and when we stopped at different view points. Even after 2300km, the bolster cover themselves looked brand new, no creasing or stretching. Highly recommended and worth every penny Eddie charges for them!

My 2nd set from Eddie already....best quality I have seen. I have purchased another set from another well known vendor..can't match with Eddie's quality and fitment. When I sold my GT4 back to dealer, it took them 2 weeks after I traded in the car to find out that I actually had the protectors on the LWB. The feel of the leather and the craftsmanship are just like from OEM.
And Eddie is the friendliest and most professional guy to deal with.. If you use the Hybrid HANs you need to protect your LWBs. I went this route where I installed protective covers over the screw holes.

Ed, the switch covers are harder to get back on my new LG RS covers than the ones on my old 991.1 GT3 or my GT4 I know that in a previous post you said the early ones were made to tight... is is there some trick to get them back on? Mine were made back in the summer but the car just got here this week |

Digging up an older thread....is that felt you put over the screw holes? Just glued it on? Looks great...I need to do this too....I have the older Safety Solutions version of this but have the same screw holes to deal with Customized headrest covers https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...3e96183a4c.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...43fde16f59.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...4e45b98603.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...d05946f945.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...ae14fda957.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...05bbd60f50.jpg |
Just stopped by Ed's place to pick up my GT3RS protective bolster covers. Ed took time to place them on my seats in a rainy day!
These covers honestly look better than the OEM, and can't tell that there is an extra layer of protection. Thanks, Ed for an incredible product, and even more impressive service! |

I have a set in mint condition (black with standard silver stitching and stitching on upper grip protector) for sale if anyone is interested. I have no need for them anymore. Send me a PM I honestly am not trying to be a D#$%. I appreciate your patronage and loyalty, but when it comes to selling your covers, maybe you should post them in the classifieds ? Again, not trying to sound ungrateful, but I just think it's inappropriate to sell something on someone else's thread ? And Gasman please don't take this personally ( not my intention) , you are not the first.... Kind regards Ed |
This is like trying to list your car on your dealers website. :nono:
