Did not mean to bash the OP or the PTS car with sofas; but the reality is that the seats are part of the many variables that make the RS special. Take away one part of that formula and it changes the dynamic of the car. Also, on the back end, the sofa's limit your exit ops; as only larger buyers (who can't fit in the buckets) and maybe some random collector or un-knowledgeable buyer; but most collectors and enthusiasts; including myself; would not buy an Rs without the seats designed for that model by Porsche. But this is just my opinion based on my experience; but the OP needs to do what is best for his situation specifically; either way if OP is happy; that is really all that matters.

OP,
Keep your RS with buckets and wrap it if you want a different color. when you get tired of that blue/green/yellow you just unwrap and still have your beatiful silver car.
Color trends come and go. What's hot today will most likely be cold in 15 years. (If you buy as investment)
If you buy RS as investment always remember less is more in the long run. No lift/wart/radio etc.

A PTS ar will always be PTS but anyone can change the seats to buckets at any time.
Truth be told I'm with Lumber. The fixed back buckets you guys get in the US are not a great seat IMO. Too wide at the base, too upright with a helmet and they don't wear well. The factory sports seat (standard) in the GT3/RS is a damn good seat.
The biggest issue is on the track you only have 3 pt belts and less bolster, but let's face it you aren't driving this on the track, it's a cafe cruiser right.
Also what the above poster said about the PTS being so rare you may no longer drive the car and be trading some of the enjoyment I think is very valid. I'm no wear near as well off as many in here but I'm constant,y amazed at how people spend thousands wrapping every corner of their car in film, drive only in the dry, are paranoid about getting these thugs out and using them and are more concerned about the value of their cars than the enjoyment. Seems a bit sad to me. I just drive the thing. It's a car. Business, work, markets for making money - this is the "hobby" we get to enjoy our hard earned not making it dirty with thoughts of how much more this colour or that or how high mileage will depreciate our cars etc.
OP - do what your heart desires. It will be the right decision
All IMO :-)

I had a similar opportunity a few months ago and had a thread on this as well. Although the cars offered were not true PTS, I was offered racing yellow, miami blue and black.
These offerings were from my dealer with whom I have my UV on order. I have specced everything to my liking on my UV including some CXX options but did not manage to get PTS. Long story short, the cars were all specced nearly identical and close to my build, but I skipped due to silver door pulls, grey dials and silver belts as I would've preffered the white dials, yellow belts and pulls as in my car. It all depends how much the seats will bother you, because for me it would've been a no go with the sofas and even small things like the dials would have bothered..

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. Going with if it's not broken don't fix it. I love my car and am not going to change. The PTS is Rosso Corsa. Thanks again.

Thanks again for all the advice. One other consideration I had was that I've added a lot to the car including just getting silver uprights (not installed yet) and while I could pull it all off and move it this is just a hassle.

Think you made a good choice.
