The grille is quite sturdy and actually has two vertical strengtheners there from factory that end up just outside of each of the mounts so there is nowhere really for the grille to move or displace. If you walk up to your car and press on the grille right next to the vertical slats you will see that the whole assembly is pretty sturdy.

We've had this question asked by a few customers recently...

Q: "Does your front license plate mount will interfere with the front park sensors."

A: NO. Unlike tow-hook style license plate mounts which sit high on the bumper, our front license plate mount sits much lower on the front of the vehicle and does not interfere with the front park sensors.

Looks like a quality solution, my only concern would be unwanted removal of the plate if car is unattended. Any thought given to a secondary fastener to make removal more difficult? Thanks!

I think the concern is more with someone swiping the bracket, not necessarily the plate itself.

On the subject of security it has been our experience that our mounts are not prone to theft. In reality they look so much like OEM that a would be thief would have to know exactly what it is to even consider taking it from the car. It all goes back to if someone REALLY wants to steal from you they will. In our case we feel that the quick on and off advantages of our mount make for a better user experience with more ownership options rather than just having something bolted to the car.

We've seen lots of orders come through lately. Possibly for the holiday season? Be sure to check them out and order online at http://www.carbonio.com/performance/...latemount.html

I bought one for my 981 Spyder. Installation was easy and it looks great!

Much simple solution is double-sided tape!

Good to hear!

Yes, but we don't like sticking tape to our nice cars, and its not so simple getting the tape off. With our mount you can also adjust the angle and reach of the plate to your liking

Sorry, for me it does not work. It blocks the main air intake for cooling.
Does it hold up with high speeds?
How often do you remove plates from your car?
How it looks is a matter of the taste!
For me "less is more"

Thanks for your continued interest and allow me to address your concerns.

Regarding cooling and high speed security, we tested our mount on a GT3 RS at the track in extreme conditions and found no issues with cooling or fitment. In addition, a growing number of authorized Porsche dealers are beginning to stock these mounts and have endorsed their use.

Plate removal is very much a personal thing. Some customers like to remove their plate for car shows so that they can maintain their privacy from iPhone yielding paparazzi Other customers like to chance the law and drive without a plate but keep our mount in the trunk as a quick roadside fix to make a cop happy; you would be amazed how many thank you emails we get for this.

I totally agree that less is more but it can be a struggle to keep a clean look while still being legal. We hope that our plate mount solves this problem in a simple and non-destructive fashion.
