Default Realistic trade in value of the 991 GT3 RS

I am the second owner of a 991 GT3 RS. It is in GT Silver with carbon buckets and it have 1300 miles on it now. It is fully loaded with PCCB, front lift, LEDs, leather interior, extended range fuel tank etc. 210k MSRP. I am thinking of trading it in for a 488 GTB or 458 Speciale. What do you guys think is a fair trade in value for my car? Thanks.

Have you looked at the current market for value?

Yes I think almost all of them (mostly one owner cars) are listed at 40k over MSRP.

I would be surprised if a dealer is going to give over $20k over unless they are hitting you over the head on the Ferrari.

Why trading it in when you can easily sell it here?
Give a Rennlister a chance.

It is mostly due to the tax credit that I will receive when I trade in the car to dealer. There is no tax credit if I sell privately.

Not sure how friendly you are with the dealer, but I just sold my RS7 as a private sale and ran it through the dealer, paid the dock fee and they're going to hold back $5k that I can apply to a new daily and get up to 9k in sales tax credit. If I don't use it within 12 months, I just get it back.

If the dealer will let you do a courtesy trade through the dealership, then you can get the best of both worlds.

You might ask the dealer about an 'in and out.' Basically the dealer documents your private sale as a trade in to them and a purchase by the other party. You pay the dealer a fee for the service, and you get the trade in credit on your new car. It does depend on which state you live in though.

If you do trade it in, opt for the 458 Speciale. I drove the 488 when I was in Italy a few weeks ago and I was not impressed at all. I did not like the steering or the sound. That being said, I would think 210-220k would be a reasonable trade in value. Hopefully your state gives you tax credit for trade ins.

^^^I agree, go with the 458. Last of the Fcars NA. I would say anything above msrp, I would take.

I had a 458 spider and currently have a 488. I've driven the 458 speciale and it definitely sounds better and is more raw. The 488 is faster and more comfortable. Its not on the same level of comparison but similar to the gt3 vs turbo s comparison. Gt3 is more raw and the 911 turbo s is faster...
