They'll have a better sense of what's eligible to write off (vehicle type, weight class, utility) for your particular business.
Tax accounts signs on your behalf, and you're still responsible they don't go to jail or pay the fines.

Ultimately you're responsible. I'm not saying you're off the hook.

You need a tax lawyer to sign off too. When I mean its in their name, I mean their approval and reputation.

Imagine what happens to a reputable tax lawyer and tax accountant's business when their client goes to jail even though they gave him the approval.

Anyone know what the PFS money factor is today for excellent credit? I have read any where from .0022 to .0026.

Two different, both totally reputable, tax accountants can easily come to a different conclusion and assumption of risk on topics like this. I ran a somewhat controversial tax issue by two tax firms recently and one said 'totally fine' and the other said 'only if you sign paperwork waiving our responsibility and documenting our advice that you not do that'. I wouldn't for a minute assume that just because a reputable tax accountant signs off on it, that it's okay or that the taxpayer has any recourse if things go south. And BTW, I was in the camp that it was not 'totally fine'.

And it's not about going to jail. It's about getting hit with a penalty and interest, which isn't going to even become public information. Tax accountants and attorneys have clients that get hit with that kind of stuff all the time.

^ Yikes...my credit union still advertises 1.69%, though I do not know the terms or limits.

Anybody know if the business lease deduction made it through the House or Senate tax plan?
