3 if yo forget to use lift just once it will get rubbed, so whats the point
4 for me, i will never again buy one with lift. i will pay 10k more for one without. i had two that had them. they WILL BREAK. and you will be scared to hear the replacement cost. this is coming from soneone who just told the deaelr dont warranty my tranny, i have no time. just put a new one in and i will pay for it.

that's just ME.
but it's your car not mine.
all three RS i kept have no lift and two have no radio.

It really depends on where you'll be driving the car. I will say, my GT3 is very low, stock and needs lift kit. Even with it I scrape at times.

The lift is very convenient (esp getting out of my driveway). I don't think it's a key feature of the car though. I would not hesitate buying one with or without the lift. The new front splitters are a tad more expensive than the 997 ones and also have the side upright pieces now. Still this is cheaper than ordering the $3k lift. I rarely keep my cars out of warranty but keep in mind, if you were to replace the current lift system out of pocket I believe it is around $8-10k! I like my lift because I use it at least 2 times every time I drive the car, the collectors and cars and coffee crowd want it, and it comes in handy on the track when turtles and armadillos cross the hot pit.

Just getting in my parking space needs the lift. I suppose if one can be selective and drive around certain low areas prone to scraping, it may be optional.

I wouldn't own a GT3 without it but probably depends more on where you live. If you live in the flatlands, then sure, skip it.

No lift. Im only on my second lip but thats mostly from crashing curbes and French speed bumps.
I will say the 991 doesnt scrape on any of the usually places the 997 scraped, I miss it.

Save the money on the lift. No added weight or repairs. Rub the lip for 2 years and replace it before you sell it for a few hundred bucks..

No lift, lips are easier and cheaper to replace. It's expensive and will not be cheap to fix or repair. Get full leather instead.
