Default Experience with tires on GT3 used for street driving

Curious to hear of experiences of 991 GT3 owners who have switched out from factory mounted Cup 2's or SportMaxx's...

there are now 'more mundane' sporty street tires with greater wear ratings sold in factory sizes...

Mich Pilot Super Sports
P Zeros (whatever version they are on now)
B-stone Potenza's

Have owners tried, and if so, what have been your impressions of comfort, grip, handling, wear etc etc? Please also tell of how hard you drive the car...

Thanks in advance.

I had MPSS's on my GT3 for a short period, they felt more planted, less skittish and overall a better tire than the Cups for every day use.....

I run two sets of wheels. CUP 2s for the track and PZeros for the road.

I got the PZeros because they were N-rated. The MPSSs are not. Plus I reasoned that if the PZeros were good enough for the 991 Turbo to set quicker lap times than the GT3 on CUPs, then they would be fine for my GT3. I have even run them on track on a wet day and found traction where others could not. So far the wear is fine.

I've always run Supersports on my street wheels. Great tires, wear good, wet grip and they will evenbe OK to do a few laps.

didn't know mpss are available in 1 rs sizes peter... nice

do they ride stiffer than cup 2 on road over bumps etc?? cup 2 always surprise me how compliant they are for the track grip they provide, and super sports always seem to have pretty stiff sidewall for street tire...

so whats perceived street driving comfort level compared to cup 2/sp maxx??

i wd assume pzero wear would be much better, its a harder compound

I didn't like the Pirellis on my S6. I like the Cup2's just fine. Super sports are great in the rain, not sure I would put them on my GT3, but that's just me. I'm sure they are just fine for it.

Cup2s there's no substitute! Unless you want them to last longer,in that case you get MPSSs.

thx ken i missed that thread - appreciate the link

guys - thx for your input - but as the thread title says i am looking for feedback for these street tires specifically on 1gt3 applications

i am well aware of pzeros and mpss and how they do on other, older cars... i have had them!!!! the 991 gt3 is a new generation of high capability but very streetable car... and these tires are newly available in proper sizes for this specific car... hence my inquiry
