Hey guys
Anyone got a line on a cool license plate frame for the RS?
I've got a black one that says Porsche for my 997 turbo but it doesn't suit the RS as well.

Ideas??

Thinner frames are best, the ones with larger bottoms tend to scratch the paint.

I have this one, quality is good for ebay, seller does the work himself and will custom anything. If you need a plate frame, might as well go black chrome.

I always use a thin frame, BUT, some TX plates have a white border with a black field, this just covers the white parts.

For the racers, this is a nice frame, laser etched on black painted stainless steel. I have this on a RR DD.

I just looked at ad, what about the fact that it doesn't have the little tabs on the back to hold the bottom of the plate? is that what the 3m tape is for ?? It doesn't have bottom holes for screws but yet the seller provides 4 screw caps.....please share

Correct, carbon fiber and only 2 screws. He provides only two, the white part is the "washer" the black cover snaps over.

3M HB tape holds the plate to the frame, then more tape on the back to keep it from moving...sano for the old time MX'ers. My car has a full wrap so I don't mind 3M double sided tape behind the plate.

In general if you have a factory PORSCHE logo on the back of the car already does the plate really need to remind everyone of the same, but the RS doesn't and it's very subtle being black on black.

Yeah, maybe for other models 4 is needed or it's an option. The smaller black logo was a custom I asked for but he now regularly makes, he'll do almost anything. I believe he'll match colors...thought about a voodoo blue "RS" only but the car doesn't need it being bright blue.
