Default GT350 Engine Fire

What's interesting is not so much the engine fire itself, though it's a good read, but how Ford handled it.

"Ford and my local dealer Prater Ford have been very good to me. My 2016 GT350 is being replaced with a 2017 GT350R."

SOMEONE has to have onboard video. I like the comment saying the Mustang was so frustrated driving around in circles with no crowd to plow into that it self immolated.

Slightly misleading verbiage.

Ford bought the car back from him and offered him an R allocation for the same "$100 under MSRP" price that he bought the fireball for.

Same messaging. Imagine if all the GT3 owners that had their engines replaced were offered an RS allocation at $100 under MSRP.

Very true. I imagine it's more of a publicity thing than anything else for Prater to offer him the R at MSRP. They know the story will make the rounds on the webs.

I guess that's one way to get an R allocation!

The onboard video is epic - it's from the BMW M car he ripped past in the straight while on fire at 120mph. lol

btw - that comment you quoted is almost as funny as watching female comedians like Amy Schumer.
