Exactly, Mike! Happened on the way back from Whistler to Squamish today, which is essentially downhill with limited opportunities to pass. Once we passed 25 mpg I decided to try to see how high we could get!!! I was really shocked at the result. Especially because it was averaged over a distance of 50 km.
That's the only way I would get that kind of mileage. As soon as a hill came up it would drop like a rock to 20.
Because the 29+ was averaged over 50 km, the next hill made little difference. I notice the same as you on short trips.

Yep. I find the metric units for fuel consumption less intuitive. So I changed that one parameter. Some of us Canadians still think using certain imperial measurements!
I thought it was just me but I have been finding this car to be very frugal on gas if driven sensibly. It seems to be getting better mileage than my wife's Macan S which is a Turbo 3.0L

My GTR could go even lower (8L/100 and less), but when the gas pedal was pressed the consumption was "exponential".
With the 991GT3 it seems to have a "high" consumption from start but doesn't variate "that much" when you increase the pace.
Even on track, the fuel consumption is "low" : you can run for more than 1h on track with a 90L fuel tank. At my knowledge there is no other car that can do the same at this level of performance.
This characteristic may be quite optional for most of owner, but for me who daily drive the car and enjoy extended session on track, this is just perfect!
Haha, yes, we have expensive gas and a weak dollar here in Canada, so we have to conserve!! (although not as pricey as Europe)
And our gallons are 4.54l vs the US being 3.86l
Wonder what Porsche uses. different for different markets would be the right way.
So Canada should be closer to mother England or not?
Better go metric all the way, less confusion.
