Bronson, believe me, it will be a let down. It's like that super hot model from the eighties that you lusted after and finally after 20yrs, you can get her in the sack. You start and find out everything thing is droopy and sagging and she is out of breath in no time 
There will come a point where you realize she is only good to look at and nothing more and way past her prime

Burning Brakes
Just got back to USA from doing Euro delivery of an R8 V10+, jumped in my 2014 991TTS Giac 2+ , catless tubi, and did a track day a Sebring. WOW, the 991 TTS feels old and dated. R8 V10 engine sound is beautiful compare to 991TTS.
Porsches PDK programing is still superior vs R8 DCT.
You do not miss the 991s backseat until you try to travel in an R8 with your wife!
My opinion, R8 is better daily driver. R8 is more exotic.(Most people can't tell the difference between a Cayman and 911)
But I would take a tuned TTS, GT3, GT3 RS, over the R8 for combination track and GT car. I am lucky enough to be able to afford both.

After owning three rs6 c7 - 14 -15 -16(performance)
audi invited me to nurburgring the gp part we drove literally the hell out of this machine, for a full day lap after lap, oh man was i impressed, nevertheless here i am, buying a .2gt3.

That's funny. That Audi seems to have a more aggressive geo setup than what we see on the street and in the showroom !
