if i need to choose , i would take the 675LT over the TdF and the Speciale

hypothetically (i know it will not fit and the car will weight more) ,
but the 675LT with the TdF engine , game over
i will keep this car forever

this Ferrari V12 , i think it's the same engine in the LaFerrari also
and Ferrari using this engine for many years (tweak it)
best sounding engine ever
also the Carrera GT V10 , Yamaha V10 in the Lexus LFA and the Porsche 918 V8
(i forgot another engine?)

i'm not sure what's the difference but in the P1 the engine sound much better then the 675LT

I heard a magically sound roaring up to our golf course the other day - he pulls in and its a yellow TDF. The car literally looks like it wants to eat everything in its path! Incredible.

Test drove the R8 v10 plus! The car is more comfortable, puts the power down better due to more traction / all wheel drive, very nice exterior / interior and the car is very refined **if i am being honest more refined than i would have liked**

I missed the GT3 raw feeling i get when i am in the GT3. Even when i am not pushing the GT3 (just cruising) i feel more of a connection to the car.

R8 v10 plus is a supercar that you can drive daily without a doubt, whereas the GT3 feels like a race car you feel it is built on the track to be used also on the road.

I choose rawness as well as driving pleasure over comfort and for this reason with no questions asked, i'd pick the GT3 over R8 on any day

PS i only drove the R8 for 45 minutes so the comparison is not the best but from the quick test, GT3 is more for me

I'm looking forward to where 570 develops further. It would be awesome to have something like a 675LT version of it.

Huracan Superlegerra looks potentially interesting as well, after the 2wd Huracan seems to have addressed some concerns from the original awd version (chances are Superleggera is going to keep building on that).
can you elaborate on the issues with the awd huracan? as a 2015 huracan owner I would like to know, mine just sits in the corner of the garage with 900 miles on it depreciating like a lead balloon

same feeling here . Test drove a mclaren 650s and a 570s , loved both cars and the 650s astonished me with the acceleration on this thing , BUT , it is not the same or a replacement for my GT3 ...nothing like it , from what i have test driven so far .
I expect the R8 to be the same as the 650S in terms of comfort , interior , etc..

991 GT3 and its derivations 991 RS , 991 RS.2
is the way to be for a porschelover willing to drive anythingelse than a 964 993 911

for the any other occasions i ll get a ferrari upwards
or anything you like under 100k for shopping

except the 60 70s greatest any brand

the rest is boring

hopefully after dieselgate hearthquake VW won t be anymore allowed to try destroying the brand with their 1 platform 5 stripes n prices strategy(after having saved with cash but its another story)

Oh, nothing major, just tendency to understeer, particularly on the throttle. I can probably be corrected with suspension alignment or minor aftermarket stuff, but 2wd version came more balanced from the factory.

Interesting.

Owned a 993 and sold it within 1.5yrs. Never understood the hoopla. Turning circle was bigger than most rigs, acceleration was average and pedal position was horrible. In comparison, my 997.2 GT3 for just amazing but still not at the same level as my 991.

What am I missing here?

GT3 is just so good at everything....then put some R7's on it --transforms the car on track

You're not. That's a spot on assessment of a 993.
They are a lot cooler in theory than they are in real life. IMHO

That's exactly how I feel, but I still wouldn't mind having one in my garage.

Bronson, believe me, it will be a let down. It's like that super hot model from the eighties that you lusted after and finally after 20yrs, you can get her in the sack.

You start and find out everything thing is droopy and sagging and she is out of breath in no time

There will come a point where you realize she is only good to look at and nothing more and way past her prime

I have a '16 gt3 and '17 Audi v10+. The 3 is a more exciting and engaging car. The Audi is far more usable (3 isn't bad at all) and the difference in power is massive and meaningful.

Both cars sound great. The Audi's NA v10 revs to 8500 with a gearbox every bit as good as the PDKS is awesome. It's an amazing powertrain.

Audi design is more modern and MMI is 1-2 gens ahead of 991 PCM.

3 should hold its value better than R8 though gen 1 r8's did very well, in part because production was kept low - not sure if same will occur w gen 2.

Aesthetics are a big part of the decision and that is a personal preference that can trump all given that you can't go wrong with either car. If you value track days and canyon drives above all else I'd take the 3, otherwise I'd go with the R8 v10+.
