For France sorry for the confusion but it is 24 allocation for the 911 R
I believe only 2 PTS. Mine and another client who ordered it yellow with Green stripe
It was open for a short period of time and you express your intent, then await if you were granted/selected. That is why I wondered the statement read "did not get PTS." Was it by choice or was declined?

This is not true. 918 owners, or anyone else granted a 911R allocation were "selected" for true PTS. "Fake PTS" for colors such as black, yellow and lava orange, were granted for all those who asked for the "special" colors first. Even the "special colors" (in reality, there is nothing special about these colors, they are just regular colors that Porsche offers on the other models), were fairly limited, so not everyone who requested them got them.
Some people claim that they didn't get PTS, but they got PTS wheels for example, are misinforming the board members as well. Painting the wheels for example in Racing Yellow is not really true PTS. Only people who got true PTS could paint their other trims in true PTS (eg. Voodoo Blue PTS with matching Voodoo blue wheels and air vents). There is someone that I know who has got a true PTS and he was able to get other trims options in a second true PTS color! Now that requires a lot of special relationship with PAG to be able to pull that off
But the question remains, why should that require a special relationship with PAG? I wish they'd just let you buy the car in whatever colour you want. I mean, you're already pretty much all VIPs, so why would they hold back on you all?

I agree with you fully. somehow the "selection" process is not on even playing field. I understand some may be content with standard (White or Gt Silver), some may opt for the "Special" colors of Black, Lava Orange, or Yellow, and the true PTS any color in the color bank. Either Special color or PTS you will pay as those are considered upgrades.
As a follow-up is there a governing selection process in the 911R different from any given Porsche model? even getting any of the three "Special" colors were only open for a short given period of time. Others from what I read were declined. I guess that is why currently the circulated PTS count world wide is only fifty. Don't know how many were able to select the "Special" colors.

Exactly, that issue alone set off a $hit storm of ill will among US based 918 owners. At least Canada did it correctly: if you had the ***** to put the money down first, you got PTS as Porsche Canada allocated based on first order in.
PMNA or PAG for the US based 918 owners used another "secret" formula which caused the rift. Some recipients were obvious choices, others not so much. People would have understood if the process had been explained but instead it's been a wall of silence.
In the end, this PTS stuff is all trivial in light of some of the real issues happening across the globe.
Don't like your color: wrap it or do as Woppum did with his 3RS and repaint it.
