Im selling because my plan last year was haul my GT3 around to different tracks. I have had some health issues at my age of 63 and decided to sell the GT3 and trailer, I also bought an airplane and am going in that direction.

Trailers that are like new with few miles don’t depreciate like cars. I have done the shake down and had a couple bolts work loose on the fenders and replaced. I also am including the low hitch needed for this trailer cost around $300. By the time you equip a new one with the items on mine plius hitch it would cost $12,775. In my experience last year you would need to arrange to order one and you might have to wait a few weeks to a few months to get it delivered to So. Ca. Then it will cost about $1/mile to deliver. I’m willing to deliver to AZ for free. I have a home in Scottsdale.
I would be willing to accept $12,000.
Gary

Thanks Gary. Let me think it over. I'm in Wyoming for the Summer, so don't need it right now. Might make sense though. Looks like the way to go!

I'm a pilot as well with 2 airplanes. So I understand the desire.

Wyoming is even closer if you need it delivered there.

Hello.

Will attempt to answer some of the open questions I saw. Feel free to ask more!

There are several options to operate the trailer if a component were not to work as intended.
-If the remote control were to ever fail, there is a manual switch that is hard wired to the sytem.
-The trailer can be lowered and raised using two jacks, each swing arm has a manual lock that acts as a backup to the cable sytem.

What happens if the cable were to snap?
-Each swing arm has a backup system that automatically engages and acts as a backup. (The winch/cable system holds the load normally, it is rated for considerable more then you would ever load on the trailer, thus the pins only come into play if the cable were to be cut)

Opening the doors
-99.9% of vehicle doors open when the trailer is raised, that includes GT3/GT4 cup cars. The trailer is remote control operated. The idea is that you would lower the trailer, drive (or winch up the vehicle) and then raise the trailer via the remote control and at that point you can just open the door and step out.

KISS
-The system is very very simple, both from the mechanical and electrical stand point. Very well thought out and tested. Over 1,500 trailers rolling around the world.

Maintenance
-All the components of the trailer are user serviceable and standard trailer components. The only additional maintenance vs a normal trailer is that its recommended to spraying a little white lithium grease at the pulley axles every 6 months or so depending on operating environment.

Battery
-We have taken the trailer to SEMA and raised and lowered the trailer over 200 times in a day.
-If the battery is dead you can use two jacks to raise and lower the bed
-The trailer has a built in trickle charger that feeds of a solar panel as well as the 12v pin of the 7 way connector. With that said, when we go to SEMA with the trailer it is raised 200 times in a day and the battery is fine.
-If the battery is dead you could connect jumper cables to a 12v car battery and run the system via the jumper cables

Construction
-Trailer bed is anodized aluminum and uses only aircraft grade rivets or grade 8 stainless steel bolts. All hardware, pulleys and cable is 316 grade stainless steel. Swing arms are hot dip galvanized steel. Corrosion protection is of great importance to Futura. Wiring loom is triple insulated.

Warranty
-2 year bumper to bumper warranty

wondering how much is the total weight of a 991 GT3 plus the Futura trailer? Wondering if my 18' volvo XC90 with a 5000 lb towing capacity is okay...

You would be at around 4,700-4,800lb. The trailer has electric brakes so thats in your favor.
Do a little research and see what the towing capacity is for your XC90 in Europe. Some vehicles are rated to tow a bunch more in Europe vs the US, because of the regulations in the US, for the exact same chassis/engine/transmission/brakes.

I don't have one, but a track buddy has been using his for a couple of years and loves it. His only issue, and it's minor, is quite a few of the rivets have popped off of the black debris guard on the front. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Ha with a bungy cord and clip into the lower rail. No hurry here until I finalize every detail. I thought I had it nailed but a wench strap interfered. I also went to Mac's tiedown straps to make it easier and faster to secure the car. .
