Full Xpel and Modesta Coating on my RS
As most of you have heard about the Smokies event - I want to mention one of our sponsors Jean-Claude and Detailed Designs. They donated a full wheel and body Modesta Coating and full clearbra wrap to our live auction at the spring Smokies event.
I was fortunate enough to win this, and sent my RS to them a few weeks ago. They got started on it quickly and were in constant contact about progress. There were several issues with defective film which required them to wrap and rewrap certain parts of the car due to dimples in the film. There was hope it would be ready for caffeine and exotics Last Sunday (6/19) but no matter how hard they tried, it would not be done in time. Their focus was on perfection, and that's exactly what I got.
All along, i knew the end result would be worth the wait and the time it was spending at "the spa" was the right thing to do. It was painful to drop a 2 day old RS off there and wait so long for it. Especially with texts from fellow GT3'ers and others asking me how the car is.
Well, late last week, the day finally arrived to go pick my car up and I am just blown away. There are no lines anywhere, the car is fully encased in clear film and the gloss from the Modest coating is as good as it gets. It makes the lava orange really sing!
Jean Claude and team are top shelf- as good as it gets. And they did all of this for charity - for the Smokies cause - to end Cystic Fibrosis.
Thanks to them - a wonderful partner and sponsor.

Another big shout out to Jean Claude and Detailed Designs. They do amazing work and are great for donating a complete detail and wrap for the Smokies Event.
They did my RS when it arrived and the work is flawless. 6 months later the car still shines and looks like Sean's just with more miles.

Looks amazing Sean! You have a great setup with all that you've done so far. What color did you use for the wing decal? It looks like the silver that would match the OEMsilver GT3 RS sticker used on the UV, but just wanted to check as I want to go the wing decal route.
