Silly question on GT3

Call dealers around the country (that will promise not to charge over MSRP) and get yourself on a waitlist (usually $1k refundable deposit).
It's nice to work with a local dealer, but in your case that is going to be difficult to get a car at sticker (CA dealers do lots of volume on GT cars, much of it above sticker and usually have long wait lists).
You might try some Mid-west dealers. Usually smaller dealers have shorter wait-lists, but receive fewer allocations - try to strike the best balance...

Just approach a dealer, be honest as you are here and let them know how you feel. Put down a deposit and go from there. If you know anyone who has a decent relationship with a dealer ask them to possibly do you a favour and order one for you or go out of state. Good luck and keep us posted on how you make out.
