I wish... but very unlikely we'll see a MK2 GT3 RS after extending the production of MK1 till Dec this year.

for a profit driven company - it does NOT make sense too not do the .2 version - just because the .1 version sold out and they even had to expand the production to satisfy 90% of their customers... imho they will try to satisfy the market so let go on with the normal .2 GT3RS is my guess. (bumper, satnav, rear lights, 20hp over .2GT3 - changes done)

They will do a .2 GT3RS - thats fact. Also based on the since long time appearing model in the dealer pre-production plans.

The only question is if they will go straight to the limited model to around 1.000units or they will do a normal .2GT3RS (with 4.0l) + the limited one, two years later with 4.2l at the end of the circly.

my dealer said only the limited one.

Id be really dissapointed if they only do the limited one. Defeats the point IMO as they will almost never get driven on the track which is really what they are best for...

I'm number one on the Waiting List for the limited edition, if it ever sees the light.

We'll have a better basis for predicting when news of the 991.2 GT3 breaks. Right now, I think it's a 4.2 w/PDK only -- if it makes an appearance at all.

BINGO....why wouldn't they build a .2GT3RS? That's an easy 5,000 units x $200k which is $1B. They'd be dumb not to build .2GT3RSs.

My dealer principal/cleaning lady said the same. There is a .2RS scheduled and a 960 scheduled. He said they both are coming without a doubt. Simply a matter of when. FWIW.

Yeah PAG knows what is selling well....they'll make a .2GT4, .2GT3, .2GT3RS, and a GT2RS (maybe even a GT2). All those cars could mean an easy $5B in global sales.

Seriously?

992 is due in 2018 which may be revealed in Frankfurt Auto Show in Sep 2017, or Geneva 2018 Autoshow maximum. There's no time for all of these GT models.

I guess, MK2 GT3 and GT2 RS and that's it.

go figure according to many
over msrp dealers .1RS was the last na ever
and limited to 2500 units
eventhough they might still artificially limit the .2RS depending how miniturbos sales goes
afterall where would you find a valid NA alternative brand making a 911?

this damn na thing is really annoying isn t it ?

They ve just to be brave enough sending the outdated
'80s dumb turbos (mid age top VW management obsession) to the hell

maybe dieselgate helped a lot...

Just my opinion.
All the folks who state "I'm #...." may be somewhat misguided.
Lists or not, deposits or not, the ultimate decision as to who gets what is entirely up to the dealer and is influenced by whatever they hold dear.

Agree, I have been posting that about these "lists" repeatedly. I would would bet most who get these cars have never put down deposit.

This. I think those holding out for a .2 RS will be disappointed although I wouldn't be surprised if a limited run (500 units-ish) 'cup edition' sends the 991 platform off into the sunset.
