Default Flippers and Allocations

I wonder if Porsche actually likes the flipping due to all the publicity it brings with it. There have been plenty of examples of serial flippers not only getting cars but getting covetted PTS cars.

It seems like it is easy to discourage flipping if you care to do so. There are very few serial Ferrari flippers now, especially with regard to "the good stuff."

At some point I think Porsche will realize they are driving away too many historically great, loyal customers and will clamp down. I wouldn't be surprised if it was soon and that if you don't have a 991.1 GT3RS in your garage at the time, you might have a hard time ordering a dot 2 or GT2RS.

What do you guys think?

Personally, I don't think they care. They are selling a lot of cars and making money.

I don't think they care right now b/c times are good but when times get tough again, they just might decide to care.

When times are tough, flipping and mark ups are non issues. See anyone talking about this in 2010?

They know they need the good customers happy before times are tough to help them whether the storm. That's why I think they will wake up soon.

I think the VW board has bigger things to worry about these days, esp after their annual meeting a couple of days ago this week.

Flippers. LOL.

Flippers. LOL.

What restaurant to hit up for dinner, what urinal to pick in the restroom, or what color tie to wear to work is much higher on their priority list.

What happened at the annual meeting? I'm not up on the latest.

He's probably talking about the 10 billion dollar settlement that they will be paying out to settle the VW emissions scandal.

Yup.

10.2 Billion versus a handful of flippers. Good grief.

There are just as many or more Ferrari flippers!!

I think it's good for the brand and they have to love it.

Certainly better than hearing resale values on their cars are plummeting like McLaren.

I think flippers help to keep the value of our cars, or a GT3 or RS would just like any other cars, 10k off right at the time you pick it up from dealer. It also increase the satisfaction of getting one at msrp and owning one.

Besides there are way more Ferrari flippers, even dealer helps the owner to flip a Ferrari. Look at the price for a 488 now.
