If PTS was still available, I'd pay the 40k.

I got a call yesterday at $48k over

How did a dealer go from 40k over to 55k over?

The one I mentioned was never $40k. You must be speaking of another. Original buy-in was $60k. Its all negotiable of course...based on market.

So would many others, but that's easy to say when that's not happening anytime soon.

while true, it also shows why some ppl do not have an RS. when allocation is used up, price up again. how many times must we go over this? if u want one, now is the time. 20k, 30k, 40k, 50k over if you have to think long on that, this isnt the car for you. sounds bad, well truth is bad. i hate paying over but i haven't quite figured out how to change reality. like SF bay area real estate. if the asking is 2M, you should offer zero contingency, all cash $2.5MM, then MAYBE JUST MAYBE, you have a shot at it. no one is thrilled with that, but it's either you suck it up or u are still renting, and i have a bunch of stubborn friends who can easily buy 2, 3, 4 MM home in cash who are still renting here b/c they are TIMING the mkt. but hey, what do i know.

i have ppl knocking down my door for my pts not yet delivered for 90k over. so if there's BUILDABLE PTS, it will not be 40k.

No more PTS for .1 RS. Buildable, yes. Buildable PTS? No.
