Sorry, forgot to include some quick brief translation into English:
Because of success extended, the production cycle of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The sports car manufacturer from the German Zuffenhausen closed late last year all the order books for the purest 911 of this time, but due to the continuing demand for the sport coupé, Porsche has decided to postpone the production end.
Last February, the latest 911 GT3 RS had to roll from the production line, but who regularly visits a Porsche dealer, must have noticed that the sports coupé still be extradited. What emerges: the production still runs at full speed. Because of the great interest in the top model, Porsche has decided to produce the Porsche GT3 RS longer than planned. Instead of last February, according to planning, in november the latest GT3 RS comes of the band, so did Car Vision retrieve.
The GT3 RS is a great success. With the introduction of the sports coupé last year, the manufacturer nnounced some 2,000 pieces of the GT3 RS. There are now almost five thousand pieces made and according to Vierenzestig.nl, the total Edition will come out around the 6,000 pieces, three times as much as expected.

I reported this here back in February based on what my Porsche School instructor told me, and got flamed for it.
And based on what I witnessed first hand in person, on track, at showrooms, in service centers and in pictures... I've seen more RS than GT3s of this generation.

6000 991RSs? Ok. So there was no or little demand for previous gen RSs? That would surely explain why years later they are still selling for way over msrp.
Soooo, AP is going to pump out another 4500 or so 991RS? When? For '16? Wait..that means there's going to be production in'17 and maybe '18? And right along side GT2.? Boy they will be busy and breaking an historical pattern of production at the same tme.
So much for Porsche GT cars being limited production.
I'm waiting by my phone today for my dealer to call with my allocation.

Its been extended to 6000?? No way Jose. I'd have stopped bitching about allocations over MSRP long ago if this was the case! And AC, I need that website also!

I don't know what tracks, show rooms &service centers you go to but regular GT3s far far predominate from what I've seen.
