This is starting to make sense... We have no official production numbers, so in the absence of facts we all choose the numbers we like:
If you own a .1 RS then about 9 were produced (including prototypes)
If you're on a .2 kick then it was about 9,000 (and they have since licensed production to Mazda)
Whatever they did with production they are likely to repeat the strategy with the .2 GT3. Zero sum game. Still both great cars.

GT4 options cost MORE than on a GT3
Has anyone else noticed that the same options for the 991.2 GT3 are much less than the GT4?
e.g. GT Silver Metallic paint option - on GT4 $2580, on GT3 $720
Sport Chrono similarly more expensive on GT4

Yes, I am aware of the well documented and authoritative number set forth in Wikipedia. LOL.
If Wiki writes it it must be true. LOL.
So in 2015 they produced 2500 units WW and when the decison was made to contnue production in or about March 2016 in less than one full year from March 2016 to December 31 2016 with August off they birthed another 4000 RS's???? Uh Oooookay. Anyone who wants to believe this go right ahead.
If you want to see what a car produced to 6500 units looks like on the market Google GT350 for sale.
Anyone can say and post and write anything on the net. If they had cited a credible source it might carry more weight but based on the facts and vin#'s and engine #s I know different. Loess has also posted and tracked numbers.
However I will say we will likely see 6500+ .2GT3s

Waxer, read above.
I think you and Shaq will get along very well.
Just curious, who cares how many GT350 were produced? Why not cite how many lemons Guam produced in 2003? It's equally as relevant.
I think everyone knows your argument by now. Nothing beats a mass produced RS bought at a market premium - I mean, unless it's the .2GT3...
You should have a beer and see how much Ford GT are trading on eBay - you know, for the balance sheet thing.

August 8, +/- 70 RS' for sale in the U.S. and the asking prices appear to be getting lower and lower. This speaks volumes.
Local AD trying to sell me a 22 mile (pre-owned!) for 30 over. He said the GT2 RS and the premium for the .2 GT3 is driving prices up on the RS'. My capsulated response was basically he has no clue.
The NJ guys who place curb appeal above all else are entertaining, keep it coming.

DuPont averages around 45 RS's for sale. Whatever corrolary you want to make of those numbers. Seems to indicate something to me. Maybe not to you.
Lemons produced in Guam completely irrelvant and poor analogy.
Yeah, I love my "mass produced" RS.
Whatever the production on RS's which is around 3500 to 4000 WW with only about 1500 in U.S. expect 2 to 3x's the number of .2GT3's produced.
Yes, prices are softening but no surprise with the latest and "greatest" now out.
