Well, looks like you found the problem with revving to 9K. Time for new engine.

Not for nothing but as far as Formula goes, I wouldn't trust the son to check my oil level.

I as well as my brother (997.2 turbo) have personally had great experiences with Michael and the entire Formula Motorsports team both through service and technical advise given that was spot on. I am one that appreciates excellent customer service and quality work regardless of price. They haven't let me down once in the 3 years that I've been with them and have heard the same from many others that use them.

In manual mode you can shift to 6k rpm in auto mode it will shift at 4K and in either of the modes you don't have full acceleration. It feel like you have the petal pressed 1/4 of the way even if it's mashed to the floor.

Dropped off my car yesterday and just heard back from the dealer. They removed the valve covers, took pictures and sent them to Porsche. They're just waiting to hear back on how they should proceed. I should have more info in the next few days.

I'm amazed the tech originally was only testing it at 7k. It doesn't reproduce unless you take it above 8K. Sucks it's delayed you getting it taken care of. Hopefully they will run through the steps quickly that PCNA wants them to do. Good luck! See if you win the motor lottery.

How many miles? Track miles? What was your normal driving like? When was your car delivered? Did it have any recalls/TSB done to it at all?

delivered in sept 2014 (after engine replaced when car hit port). has 7000 miles, tracked in advanced group, many times, can't even guess at the miles (replaced front rotors) use the car as daily driver too, all year long as long as there is no snow (live in nyc area). normal daily driving is very calm, pdk and manual, never really too aggressive, i have a short commute and lots of nypd around, besides thats why i take it to the track,,,at the track pdk sport, lots of manual up and down shifts, like to let car go to 9000 in pdk sport., had 1 dealer oil change, only problem was radiator replaced (while at the glen) because of rock puncture while on track (with subsequent tsb front radiator wheel well grill placement) and malfunction thermostat by dealer where car is at now

Thanks. Another replaced E-engine. I think Macca is correct. All of the E-engines will live a shortened life due to top end oiling issues and DLC coating problems. It gets shorter the harder it is driven. Thanks for the helpful info

Does anybody know if new top ends they install on engines they decide to rebuild are the same E top ends, or these are G top ends?
