When your driving lets say 40 to 80 MPH and you down shift quite often, will that hurt the clutch. I never driven a PDK Porsche or any paddle shift vehicle.

I think wearing out the PDK-S should be one of your last worries. If you do, I'd bet AP would pay to have a new PDK-S installed just so they could study the hell out of yours to figure out what happened.

This Road & Track video demonstrating 50 consecutive launch controls (some off camera) with a PDK gearbox should allay a lot of concerns.

And for the record, for what it's worth, Porsche warranties the PDK for 100k miles.
