Tires and Offsets for 19" Wheels on 991 GT3
I track my 2015 GT3 and am sick of paying $2,000 every 4-6 days for new Cup 2 tires that I consider over priced for what you get. I'm finally going to bite the bullet and buy some 19's.
#1. I have seen different offsets for some of the aftermarket 19's from different manufacturers. I have steel brakes. What do I need for the 991 GT3?
#2. I have seen on the forum what appears to by people running 265 fronts and 325 rears on their GT3's with 19" wheels. Do these fit without rubbing? Are you running 19x9's and 19x12's? Also what tires are you guys using for your 19's and why?
What about modifying the rear brake line bracket? What is needed? I heard you need a different bolt or something.
Appreciate the help guys.

I just got the Forgelines 265/35/19 52mm fronts and 325/30/19 46mm rear centerlocks with no rubbing just did a track day at Hallett raceway on Wednesday and lots more grip. similar to RS but no quite there since less down force.
you need a bolt in the rear to clear linkage and it is $5 dollar parts.

I am currently running Cup 2's and have tried Trofeo R's also. I think I am liking the Cup 2's better at this point. Next round I want to run R7's. I have the GA1R's and they are light and amazing wheels. Yes they designed these to clear PCCB's. You need part #999-073-530-01. You ca get it from SunCoastParts.com

I have lots of experience with 888 on my other Porches I track and I have been very happy with there performance per $$$ compared to others. I don't think you would go wrong to try them out. I ran 888 for two years on my GT2 and they were barely slower than any other tires I have run with.

19x9.5 Front with 265/35/19 and 19x12 Rears with 325/30/19 Pirelli Trofeo R tires. Also available in that size, Bridgestone RE-11 R-Compounds, Hoosier R7's, and Toyo R888's, all of which would be good to consider if you're changing up the tires and want to go with another brand.
Hope that helps! Just another option to add to the list

Forgeline 19x9.5 & 19x12.0
We are selling Forgeline 19x9.5 fronts and 19x12.0 rears -- GE1 and GA1R CL are the most popular --fitted with Hoosier R7s with very good results reported from customers. The thing to bear in mind is that clearance is very tight, and inevitably a bit of rubber or grit will come between the inside of a wheel barrel and the caliper. That will mar the surface of the barrel. It has no impact on the performance or longevity of the wheel or the caliper.
The clearance between the wheel and the caliper is fixed, so there is no mechanical interference.
If you want to know more about fitting your 991 GT3 or GT3RS with Forgelines and Hoosiers, give us a call or drop us a PM. Our prices, service, and product availability are the best you'll find anywhere!
