I second this.

Once parked, forget about it. Nothing more to do... besides praying.

There was a California that pulled into the local BWW and took up two spots in the second row of parking. If he parked far out where no one parked I wouldn't have thought it as big a deal, but the second row? And really no matter where you do it, you are a JA for doing it. I don't car why's car you drive. I did take advantage and park next to him as there was no chance of a ding, but I did consider getting right up close...

If I'm going to the mall (a very rare occurrence in itself) I take my wife's i3 or the Cayenne. Parking in general, though, corner spots as far away from the crowd as possible....

I park in corner spots.. In any of my cars.
Park away from large vehicles, etc. Hope for the best!

It's a car and the **** I put it through I shrug off marks (any of my cars). BUT my blood boils if I ever see a door ding. Because "THAT!" is someone just being careless and disregarding other peoples property.

If you park in two spaces you should pick up a rock and hit your car with it so you know who did it.

Corner spot as well. I also look at the car next to me and inspect their door edge. If the paint is chipped in more than one area, I figure they're careless with their door opening and I relocate.

It's good to see all these similar responses. Makes me feel better and might help the justification with the fiancee.

I have a very specific multi-step process.

I park the car, get out, lock it and proceed to the store. Works the exact same way with every vehicle. Imagine that.

Always look for a corner spot or the first spot next to a handicap spot. Always avoid SUVs with baby seats inside and long door coupes. My spouse goes crazy as I will mill around the lot until I find one that suits my taste.

I posted this pic sometime ago, also at an Olive Garden.

I park in corner spots if possible, but it's my only car and it gets used like ... a car. I park it wherever I need to.

I tell you this worse thing you can do is take up 2 spots. I've seen cars keyed for this. You are a douche if you do it.

Not just UAE, although probably the worst perps. It's an epidemic attributable to our show-off culture, style over substance, and yes the decline of manual transmissions. Sports Cars aren't for driving, they are jewelry for men .. How sad
