If you want safety for your family buy a Volvo.
I'd like to be present during a conversation between a potential client and Singer : I wonder how far down the line " safety " and " emissions " come into the conversation...

We get it Mr Linton, you don't like Singer...and there's nothing wrong with that...

I feel safety is a very valid concern for any high performance vehicle. We have all become somewhat complacent given the advancements we now take for granted, but take a tour through any automotive museum and it's clear that cars were formerly death traps. And to ask the question another way, and I'm genuinely curiously, what on a Singer-Williams DLS, as the most extreme example, it's still 964? Like which parts are OEM? Donor chassis? How much is the chassis modified? I honestly do not know, but at $1.8MM I doubt a whole lot remains. So then it's a beautiful engineered and current version of an equivalent 'brand new' replica Cobra that shares little with the original save for the shape and overall design execution. Regardless of the answer, if i'm spending that kind of money I would hope that any new performance vehicle had at least some concerns about safety in mind; Singer, Pagani, 918 you name it.
And before the haters hate, I love what Singer has done with the platform and if one showed up on my doorstep i'd be happier than a pig in...

Nor do they make it any worse. When you buy a Singer, it's no different than buying an old 964 and Singer shouldn't be held to any legal standard other than what reselling a used 964 would be.

And that last part is laughable. Sound like a plaintiff's attorney.

I'm not sure...all I know is that for years, safety was their number 1 priority in designing their cars... I'm sure there are many others just as good these days...

Filmed in front of a paid audience in Austin, Texas, the commercial showed the monster truck wrecking a line of cars except for a lone Volvo.

However, the ad’s impact quickly went flat when reports emerged that the Volvo had been artificially reinforced and that structural pillars in the other cars had been cut out or removed.

I would think if the Singers are sold in California, they comply with all relevant emissions standards. As noted above, what would get my attention would be the lack of safety components that one would expect in a car this expensive. And, they build a beautiful car!!
