traded my 991 GT3 with McLaren 675LT - i really like to get GT3RS !!
the 675LT it's amazing car , much better then the GT3 in many ways
but i still missing the GT3 engine sound , NA engine throttle response , mechanical feel
and in general i think i'm more a Porsche guy then McLaren/Ferrari/Lambo guy
i want to have a Porsche in my life , always. (i have Macan Turbo but it's not count)
i bought the GT3 from Beverly Hills Porsche , they don't want to take deposit from me for the RS
they want to sell it at market price.
the Macan i bought from Hennessy , and they told me the same thing.
i tried also Porsche of North Houston , they told me they take deposit only from their loyalty customers , and since i'm not one of them i can forgot about that.
because i couldn't get the RS , i bought the 675LT.
i don't mind to wait even 2-3 years , but nobody want to have me on the waiting list.
how you guys got your RS?
i feel that my chances are very small.
i love this color combination:
original wheels color , yellow calipers , Voodoo Blue
(can't find photo of this combo on GT3RS , on the GT4 it's look fantastic)
The dealers you spoke to are all high volume but also have many clients that they take care of. Best bet is to put down multiple deposits at surrounding dealers and hope for the 991.2. Many people still have not got there allocation for the 991.1 RS and they put it down many months before the car was even announced.
You mention Hennessy Porsche. It's a terrible dealer; I've always been treated like **** there, so they won't get any of my money.
Call smaller dealers in smaller markets and try to build a relationship, be content to buy your cars in the secondary marketplace, or switch to another brand.
Congrats! 675LT is a way better car than GT3 or even GT3 RS to me.
Comparing to the money you paid for 675LT, it's easy for you to get the next RS. Just buy 2-3 Porsche(I believe they prefer cars like 911, Panamera; Cayenne and Macan are not counted) from the same dealership, or trade cars like GT3/GT4 to them. That should be enough for you to get an RS allocation.
Getting into specialty cars will require time and consistency. It would probably serve you well also to stick to a local dealer.
Get on the list for the 992.1 RS now. I realize it's probably out of the horizon for you right now but that's my suggestion. Then, perhaps you can pick something less extravagant in the meantime like a 991.2 GT3. That would build your credibility w/ the local dealer.
I've bought 3 cars from 3 different dealers because after the 1st car I went back and tried to get what was the 2nd car and got no love,and tried to find another to have a relationship with.
They are like personal physicians these days, they aren't accepting new clients.

i agree with you , the 675LT it's a better car
the chassis unbelievable , i feel more connection to the car then the GT3
you can really feel the power to weight ratio advantage.
i don't want to replace it with Porsche
i want the Porsche addition to it.

1. 675LT
2. Porsche GT car
3. V8 / V10 / V12 NA engine car , nothing come close to the sound of those engines , like 458 , Lambo V10 or Ferrari V12 no matter what model.
the engine sound ever heard it's the Carrera GT , i drove this car for around 20 min , i will never forget it , what a car !!
Huracan also , fantastic engine - i can't imaging how well the Hurcan superleggera will sound !

Hennessy is, IMO, a good dealer. It's taken me a few years to work my way up, and being a massive dealer in PCNA's home city comes with unique challenges. But I've gotten some cool cars from them and never paid a premium. It's really a matter of dropping by there, shooting the breeze, getting to know people. Once they realize you aren't a dick and you are passionate about the brand, you make progress. It's almost impossible, IMO, to get an RS from a large dealer without a 3 or 4+ car history with them.

Sorry you had that experience. I have had the opposite and will never buy a car from anyone but Hennessy. Not saying, by any stretch, your in this crowed but they have had it with jerks crapping on them by telling them how much they flipped their cars for etc. Deal with Scott Hamilton and get to know Mark the General manager should you wish to give them another try.
