Default RS Maintenance Costs?

I read in another thread that it would probably be cheaper to maintain a Veyron vs. the RS. I'm now curious as to what the real world maintenance costs are on the car (street use only).

When speaking with a veyron owner while he was showing me his quite impressive collection, he commented on some maintenance costs of the veyron. Don't quote me on these numbers but annual maintenance was something like $20k and a set of tires is $20-30k.

Whoever told you that is delusional. The Veyron is notorious for being one of the most expensive cars to maintain.

The GT3RS is similar or only a little more expensive to maintain than a regular 911.

The only way it would cost less to maintain a Veyron than an RS is if you disassembled the Bugatti and put it in drawers.

That is preposterous.

Wait is this a troll thread? Damnit. We've been had!!

No troll. I think the comment was somewhat tongue in cheek, implying that the RS had very high maintenance costs.

If you are not tracking. $300 or so for first year as long as you keep it at or under 10k miles. I'm sure if you put that on a veryon it's going to cost more then $300. RS is very cheap to drive on the street. Now if you track a lot and it have pccb you cost will go up $$$ but then again track a veryon and need knew tires. Plus I read after a couple set of tires they recommend new wheels. I bet after 5 year of ownership of a veryon you could buy a RS almost.

Does gas count as a maintenance cost?

If so, Veyron by an astronomical mile. And a foot.

I was worried about cost of tyres, as they are the same as the the 918. But oddly I managed to get a set of cup2 at less than the price of the set for a 991GT3 at about 1400€ total. Besides that I have done an oil change at 1000 miles, which Porsche does not even recommend. Cost 300eur. Disc wear seems excellent, pads too. Thus so far I cannot see any extreme maintenance costs, 3000 miles in and 3 tracks days.

Eta: fuel consumption is a bit high though. About 30% more than my 997.1GT3. Wonder if they are using a lot for engine cooling.
