I really like the look, and prefer ducktails to wings.

So for some real heresy - could one fit the RS deck lid sans wing to a "regular" GT3? The RS duck is much more subtle than the Sport Design duck.

They actually look pretty good without. My main fear is that the car can't compensate fully for my perceived inadequacies without the giant wing.

Different UV RS you guys are posting (calipers) but I think it looks fantastic ... WAY better than the R and you don't have to fork over $1m:

^^ I think it looks fantastic with losing the surf board ....were talking like 6 bolts ...someone needs to make a custom piece to put on the ends (if needed)

Looks really nice without the wing. Kinda surprised. This should have been the way R looks.

Wish Porsche Made some kind of "gts RSlook" like in the 80's with their "turbo look"... Wide RS front track with louvers, no spoiler. Sacrilege maybe, it that UV above shows it would look fantastic, super square aggressive look

I took the wing (and stickers) off my 2011 GT3 RS and used it the way I suppose Porsche expects us to use the 911R, no issues. I'll do the same when my 991 GT3RS arrives end of this month.

Then I'll have my son 3D print replacement end caps and finally, once smarter rennlisters figure out how to replicate the diffuser from the 911R, will make that mod which will make this the "tooling around, aggressively" car I want. If i ever get to the track, all of the above can be easily reversed.

The RS looks good without wing, but I would never ever take the wing off mine. That's part of what an RS is. If you don't want the race wing get a GTS or turbo or normal 911. But, like someone said its your car, so do what you like.

Just out of curiosity, would the standard 991.1 ducktail fit?

Not sure. Conversions from GT3 wing to ducktail reading other threads/posts I believe did require more than just taking off and bolting on new part. Would assume for RS more difficult unless just leave wing off RS its smaller rear spoiler is a pseudo mini ducktail.
