What kind of reporting is that? They mention a "Bored-Out" motor and then go on to say how the displacement was achieved with a longer stroke...

"Porsche is reportedly developing a more powerful version of the 911 GT3 RS, with a bored-out version of its rear-mounted engine rumoured to be capable of producing 518bhp.

The 4.0-litre engine of the current RS runs a 102x81.5mm bore and stroke, making it the largest six-cylinder boxer to make production. But insiders are now claiming the engine in a more potent RS would be 4.2 litres in capacity, pushing the engine’s stroke up to 85.1mm."

This stroke change alone would give about 4.176 Liter (doubt there is any change to bore).

And then they came to the conclusion that such a motor would make 518hp because the non-DFI Ruf makes that much?

There is no chance in HELL that Porsche would test and allow spy shots to be taken of a new 991.2 RS while the .1's are still rolling off the assembly line and still will be for 4 more months. NO CHANCE!!!

That car is a turbo, only question is, is it a GT2 or GT2 RS?

thats it!

Anyone want to bet???
Yes my contract on RS 991.2 for 2xGT2RS

It's no reporting at all!

Fabricated article cobbled together with circumstantial evidence only.

People on here are more credible...

Look closely, it's the new variable turbo. AP posted this on Pistonheads, so it's true.

Convinced there's a lot of misdirection going on now...

I'll be very disappointed if they give us a warmed over 991.2. Time for turbo; I wish IMSA and WEC would take away BOP and force them to compete with the other OEMs on the basis of their actual product.
