Ultraviolet GT3 RS - Limited?

Now, the interesting question would be: what is the premium difference on a Ultraviolet RS versus a PTS Mexico Blue or Racing Yellow RS? My hunch is that they are about the same, but I could be wrong.

The PTS guys start with asking $500K range and end up selling around $350K after two months of no action. UV folks start with $400K & will sell for $350K give or take.

PTS colors like blue, green should be way more expensive than Ultraviolet, but not sure about yellow.

I think Miami and Yellow will still trade at a premium to UV, substantially higher numbers produced and those with remaining RS allocations can still spec UV. I'm curious to see what a black RS would trade for, I think it will be the least appealing of the pseudo-PTS colors but still likely a premium to UV.

I'm probably in the minority, but I never understood the amount of discussion on RL that involve paint color on GT Porsches. It was actually the most surprising thing to see when I joined the forum.
The cars are so special in their own right that color is at the bottom of the list of what I think should be important. AS CJ noted, all colors handle the same and make the same noise. I think we're fortunate that all four non-PTS choices look good and give buyers a range of something from mild to wild.

However, in my limited experience, once cars get old enough, and become 'vintage', most have been repainted. Many folks don't care too much about the original color on vintage cars, so long as the car is painted a factory color that was offered that year.

New UV with PCCB buckets all day at 250-260k on the East coast. Was offered one as recently as 6 days ago.

So RS's are now sitting in show room's and the dealers are asking ~$40K over MSRP and still can't sell them. we should share the details here so others can have a stab at them.

The asking prices vary widely without any rational reason.
I don't think there is that much difference in price from LO to UV. Both were "optional" colors.
As to the FGT, the Heritage was very limited in production with about 200 made out of roughly 4000 in a two year run. There is not that much difference between the rest of the colors in pricing. I actually like my Mark IV red better than the Heritage and bought it instead of a Heritage at the time because I liked the red better but if given a chance to do it over I would have bought the Heritage knowing what I know now. The market is what the market is. Nevertheless, my FGT is still worth over $100K more than what I paid in 2007 so I'm not complaining. In years to come color won't matter as much as condition and mileage but Heritage will always bring a premium. I expect all FGT's to rise substantially in the future. If the Countach is now an $450K car the FGT should surpass it by all counts.
