Default Putting some miles on her...

I just checked my mileage on my GT3 and this girl is no garage queen. For reference, the first owner put 2,700 miles on her in 12 months. I have 1,300 in 5 weeks, with at least a couple hundred more about to be added today. I am sure things will slow down a little (maybe!), but I could put 8 to 10k's on her the first year. These are pretty easy miles (non-track), but they are piling up. And this has been during the winter. Weather is getting nicer now, so this could ramp up even more. I also plan on putting a few hard miles on her, a quarter mile at a time, starting in May, followed by some downtime while the engine is being replaced in June lol.

How many miles are you guys putting on your GT3 / RS on average per month? Am I setting any records, or falling way behind?

Rob, you had your snow storm last week, we're having ours tonight. Be atleast another week before mine goes back, piling on the mileage.

Have fun with that Bronson! That is the great thing about Colorado. You get snow, and three days later the cars are out. Mine hasn't sat more than 6 or 7 days in a row. I really don't think this car is going to have an off-season. The engine loves those 50 degree temps, too.

I say pile them on!

Haven't been able to take the car out on the weekdays but try an use it as much on the weekends, still have only managed 650 miles in the month And a quarter I've had it for. Have some good trips planned out for the summer that should really jack up the miles, look forward to those weekends!

Got mine last week of November and I've got ~2800 on her now. Keep in mind also...I live in the Northeast...so winter has been a hindering. And it's been in the shop probably a total of 15-20 days.

2300 since mid-December. I expect another 3000 fairly easily by end of the Smokies meeting, and perhaps another 1500 by the end of April. Since Mooty told me we can drive them I figured I ought to. Also...it has all that warranty on it...

Robmypro,

I put 400 miles on mine over the past month. Like you, I have to find days that are snow free to put the miles on. I still only have 850 miles on the car, however! I am anxious to get past the up to 4500 rpm phase!

Driving season on the front range is here, I think!

Oh, it's here CC! Put about 400 miles on mine THIS WEEKEND. Let me have your car for a few days, and you will be primed and ready for 9k before the weekend lol.

Also, not sure if you saw my PM reply or not.

robmypro: cheers to the high-mileage club. i have had mine for 16 months and have logged 13,000 miles so far. 2 oil changes and 1 spark plug change so far. all the miles have been long weekend trips on the open road. it'd be a real shame not to exploit the car for all the joy you can squeeze out of it. such a special car and has only gotten sweeter with the miles racking up.

Thanks Ken. Agree 100%. Why buy a car like this and not drive it every chance you get? It is too much fun to be a garage queen. I am not saving it for the next guy.
