Specifically 525 hp in this RUF SCR 4.2. Based on a water cooled Mezger engine with a 6speed manual transmission. True, it does not appear to have rear wheel steering. Curious about the cost?

Same insane money, I'll take the Ruf.
Actually I'll take a Ruf over anything.

According to Road & Track it starts at $525k before options... makes the 911R look like the bargain of the year.

Would definitely take the Ruf over the R, hands down.

Same here, prefer the Ruf over the R. Unfortunately, I don't live in Europe and the Ruf dealer system here in the US is non-existent.

If you guys are determined to shell out 400-500k you should snap up 997RS 4.0, 993 TT-S, 458 speciales, 675LT...

The thing I found appealing was normal aspirated, water cooled, Mezger based, over 500 hp and manual 6 speed in a platform I think they said was about 2600 lbs. You should like this Robert! Cost is a little prohibitive I guess however.

Is this maybe a generational thing? To me, the RUF looks like everything I hate about 80s design in one vehicle. I find the R to be a bit boring, since it pretty much looks the same as every other regular 911 Carrera, but it's still elegant.

Such shame. If that was different is start hunting seriously instead of just dreaming.

I'm not too convinced about the value of the 675LT. It's very fast and very fun to drive, but knowing Mclaren, there is always a faster better model around the corner.

For some odd reason, I find the Singer and the Ruf cars to be very attractive to me. I hope Ruf will have a good dealer network here in SoCal. I will definitely jump on it when they do!

Agree and wish I had the $$$ to make it happen.
