yes, some do88, aerospace-grade, intercoolers may well be on their way in 2019....

Has anyone had the COBB tuning on their 2RS? On 93 octane fuel with the tune you gain another 94 hp and 73 lb-ft of torque. Any thoughts about COBB tuning and warranty concerns?

I've used stage 1 one tunes from COBB on subarus. They're pretty modest and safe in their early tunes. I wouldn't sweat it.

But, having just taken delivery of my 2RS, I'm not sure what I would do with more power, as appealing as it sounds.

I agree 700 hp is quite a bit but I am going to get the pricing and hp/torque gains for each of the stages at post that if anyone is interested. I went through 2 Porsches in about 18 months but this one is a keeper. I will first get used to the bump in hp over my previous 3RS then see if increasing the hp is something I would like to move on.

This car makes my 3RS feel slow...not sure how that is possible. I live at altitude, so the comparison is a little unfair, but my first takeaway was a question of how this car can just go into any joe blow's hands.

I thought the 3RS was quick but I hoped, and thought, it would be a tad quicker/more powerful. If I were to start over again with Porsche brand I would go straight to the 2RS.

i know a few people that have done that tune, with and without exhaust work. None of them saw a 94 hp gain, more like 20-30 hp gain. The car doesn’t need more power for track use, just suspension tuning and extended water tank. I unplugged my exhaust valves so it’s always open, and it sounds great!

Porsche did a amazing job squeezeing all
the performance out of this car stock, if you want big gains your going to have to start swapping turbos.....no thank you

@BK77 the numbers may be inflated when I spoke to the SA at the dealership he is claiming that COBB tuning would void the warranty......so his solution they have a company that works with the dealership called GIAC that with their tune I would gain 100 hp and 60 lb-ft of torque. These claims may also be an example of salesmanship and the gains may, in fact, be more modest. If anyone has any experience with GIAC let me know.

Unless you plan on doing major hardware swaps it’s not worth doing tuning, IMO.

Starting to get mine ready for track season. What "suspension tuning" have you found successful?

I haven’t made any suspension changes yet, I will before my next track day in March. I wanted to run it stock for at least 4-5 track days so I knew what adjustments I wanted to do. I’m going to start with track alignment, -2.5 front and -2.2 or so in the rear and 0 toe or slightly out in the front and a bit of toe in in the rear. Also soften up the front suspension and stiffen the rear a bit.

Had a 2011 GT3RS and a 2016 GT3RS Voodoo. Traded them both in plus cash for a 2018 GT2RS. I finally found nirvana!!!!!!!!! I can never, ever go back.

Great to hear. Just got my car and I have not driven it yet. The 2RS is currently getting a full Suntek Ultra PPF so won't get the car back until the end of this week. I am looking forward to the extra power and torque. Currently my car has 12 delivery miles but that won't last for long.

GIAC is owned/run by Garrett and is a legit tuning company with many years of Porsche tuning history. With that said, it wont be anywhere near 100hp gain.
