I have driven my friend's 720S multiple times (on and off track) and that thing is crazy fast. On Trofeo R tires, it's so easy to drive, it's like riding on rails.

I know that if it was me doing the driving, I would be lapping much faster in the 720S (with Trofeo R) tires than my GT2RS. It's a very forgiving car to drive fast.

However, reliability is still a big problem on Mclaren's. My friend's 720S roof glass cracked twice, transmission would overheat and go into limp mode after 15 laps, and the AC would occasionally short out and needs to be reset.

Few have driven both, what is your opinion:

Do you find the 720S to be fun?

Honestly, I would say it's a fun car, when you go really fast!

When you are just puckering around, not so much. There isn't a whole of mechanical noises in the car, exhaust note is very blend.

For the money and the performance, you can't go wrong with the 720S. But in terms of fun, the GT2RS is miles better than the 720S.

Very nice and congrats on your PTS + WP. So they are giving you the Magnesium wheels when it becomes available correct?

We are beginning to see more and more PTS GT2RS.

Drive safe,

Thanks!
Yes, the car came without magnesium Wheels and carbon steering wheel!
Magnesium wheels will be delivered in Q4 and I will keep the alu wheels! Carbon steering I don’t know when will be delivered!

Awesome, congrats!!

Do you know if their going to give you a new set of rubber when the mag wheels come in, or take the tires off the alu?

Curious to see if mine will come with the alu or mag wheels, it suppose to exit production 7/27. It would be cool if the car comes 100%, but I would sure love to have a spare set of wheels and tires at no cost!
