the collective level of "meh" if it's a 3.8 is going to be simply "UUUUUGE".. i don't think the manual is enough.. what makes someone want to go from 991.1 GT3 3.8L PDK to 991.2 GT3 3.8L PDK?

4.0 pisses off RS and R owners. My money is a 3.8 and I agree with Kool Aid driving sales

4.0 is the natural progression. They get more hp/tq with lower revs. Less wear on valve train.
While I believe the new .2 GT3 and .1 GT3RS will share a 4.0 the .2 GT3 will not have the other RS distinctive features including wider track, side scoops for "ram air", huge RS wing and aero, carbon panels, magnesium roof etc.. and of course "RS" badging.
I think the GT3 .2 will more upset the R owners since you can now get the same basic car as the R with the MT. The novelty of the R was really the mt not the badging.
Plus, I think CJ said he saw the mule and it's a 4.0.

Were you at PMNA or Weissach? I only ask because I used to be at PMNA myself and highly advise against leaking any internal info. Just my .02

Yes, wise wise advice you have provided. Motorsports interns are required to sign confidentiality agreements also as part of program so nothing leaks to other manufacturers or race teams. Which makes this situation very strange, very odd that if you did know info you would also admit you were in internship program when you received it. Someone from Bundesnachrichtendienst will be calling tomtomtom soon!!

There is a reason we don't let interns work on certain projects ....

Does it matter, only car magazines will lap it. Only a handful tracks a TT, R, or GT2's. A gt2 will be for the flippers and collectors.....

Frank or Jens would have his *** if either of them ever caught wind of this.
EDIT: Seems like he was based out of Weissach. Im keeping my nose out of this one ...
