Don't know if early recipients of the GT2RS come with car cover. Saw this on my email from SunCoast. I have to ask the group if anyone who received their GT2RS if it came with car cover? If not, then I will order this one for mine.

I got mine this Monday. (I was actually the other GT2 RS with M4n0t0 😉
Just drove 750km back home.
I confirmed what M4n0t0 described. Including the wheel spin in 4th 😱
It sounds like a big v8 when you start up. Nothing like a flat 6 911.
When you drive you hear the engine breathing on both charge and lift off. It feels alive!
It pops on lift off and downshifts.
There is so many sounds in this engine, it's a very special feeling.
Still a long way to go but this is a very special 911!
Supercar 911 is you ask me.
I'm in love already.
Technical details that I haven't read anywhere else:
- it has gorilla glass, good for US!
- it has the new lift. A bit slower than the previous air lift but apparently lower weight.
I have no PCM so I can't comment on sound 😁
At low speeds the noise level is completely fine.
But in highway there is a lot of wind and road noise.
Lot more than in a 991.1 GT3RS I think.

About the numbers, all the Porsche center I know in France will have two gt2 rs. There is 650 porsche center in the world but there is no gt2 rs for China and many others countries.
So about 500 porsche center will have the gt2 rs, if it s 3000 as people said here it means 6 per center , just impossible . Even Monaco will have just 4 or 5...
and all the UE cars have to be delivered before July 2018...

If I was to hazard a guess as to why, however, I would think sound may also play a part. There was some mention somewhere that short exhaust pipes were the key to reviving the sounds of the old turbo cars. Perhaps the air gap to the tips facilitates this.

Okay thanks for letting us know. The first few 918 owners here will soon accept delivery late next month. I know a few of them and will ask if they got their helmet bags or if their cars even come with factory car covers. I know on my Exclusive Series it came with factory car cover.

You guys that's got your GR cars: How red is the inside: Is it the same color as the outside?
If you specced the car again would you choose red interior with GR?
