Default Patrick Long Uses Porsche 911 R to Teach Proper Seat Positioning

The road to perfect vehicle control starts before you even start the car. Or in this case, before you start the Porsche 911 R.

So 50 years to solve the one inherent flaw of the 911? Is it standard equipment yet?

The news of the manual's death has been greatly exaggerated...

I disagree. The manual is back on the table with Porsche's GT department because of feedback received between the announcement of the 991 GT3 and now. Do you think Porsche would do something if everyone drank the PDK Kool-Aid? No way! Why would they? PDK is cheaper to produce once they've switched the entire fleet to it.

Right. My point is : the news weren't exaggerated. Every indication showed it's on it's last legs. AP himself publicly stated : " we had to fight really hard to convince the board to approve the 911 R ". The manual 991.2 GT3 is just a natural progression of that.
Porsche customers can dictate in a way or another the company's direction. Any smart company listens to its customers.
