Default 991 GT3 Track Setup

Was wondering what the best modifications to do to get my GT3 properly setup for track use. I have the LWB seats, roll cage, six point harness, and VBOX. The car has steal breaks.

What should I update the break pads too? Heard something about removing the wheel well liners, are there any slicks that will fit on the car, anything else?

Thanks in advance.

I just spent the weekend at Sebring in a Stock car (LWB, harnesses, cage, stock steel brakes) to establish a baseline. Although a few seconds faster than my track prepped 991CS I found nothing on the car was holding me back from being faster, except the polish on the nut behind the wheel. My approach is to learn the limits of the car with my driving style then change the car to improve the limiting factor, one at a time.

For some excellent reading, see OrthoJoe's thread on track setup.

Get an instructor. That will be your best set-up. Don't worry about the rest at this stage.

Thanks for the responses. I should have given a little more detail about what I was looking for. I have a lot of track experience in other cars and actually have driven this car on the track last session in its stock set up. I am however not very mechanical and am looking for the best setup for keep maintenance cost down.
My current pads have worn and I need new tires. Thought I would tap into the reenlist knowledge base.
CDinSING thanks for the link it was very helpful.

Safety equipment good brake pads and a proper track alignment.

And if you have no track time in a 911 get an instructor that knows how to drive one. You're going to need to unlearn some things and learn others....
