Experience shipping cars from US to EU?
Hi,
After almost 9 years we are moving back from San Francisco, CA to Zurich, Switzerland this summer and planning to take our cars (991 GT3 and 981 Boxster S) with us (you don't have to pay import tax for the cars as part of a household move).
The conversation/registration of the US cars in Switzerland is fairly straight forward for the recent Porsche generations (we found a shop who is pretty experienced with this) but have some problems finding a shipping company. I'm aware of the different insurance options but my main concern is finding a company who is used to ship higher-quality car ... I want to keep the risk of receiving a completely beaten & scratched up car at a minimum
Has anyone here had experience with shipping cars abroad and can recommend a company that specializes in this?
