I'm pretty sure Jaime will chime in, but I'm pretty sure they can make non-valved version. They had offered it originally, but I think most people ordered valved.

As long as you can swing the cost for custom made 321SS, it's amazing. I'm just waiting on the new center section to put it on the RS.

Having followed Matt for a few miles in the Smokies the Dundon headers sound great and the car pulls hard out of the corners.

Hi, yes there is a purpose for the valved portion of the race headers. The valve directs the exhaust flow to the upper chamber of the center muffler, this eliminates drone between 2200-3000rpm, as the factory intended.

if you don’t drive on the street, we can absolutely make a set of race headers without valves for you.

Contact me directly for pricing and ETA as we will have to custom make them.

i would also recommend our lifetime center muffler for track use as the lack of side mufflers combined with track use is too much for the stock center muffler to take and it will crack...

Itching for these headers so badly.

Jamie, is it possible to purchase the headers without Dundon's side mufflers? As in, I'm interested in running catless, but I also would like to use AWE's switchpath exhaust, which replaces the side mufflers and the center muffler but keeps the ability to close valves for no drone while having the raucous sound of a center muffler bypass. I would hope this doesn't affect the ability to cause no CEL's to occur. Please educate me!

Thanks.

Hi Ahsan,

Our headers are much longer than stock so our side deletes don't work with other exhaust products that attach to the stock header attachment. Our headers will work with the stock center muffler, or any center muffler replacement.

That said the most power is produced by using the stock center muffler or our Llifetime 321SS muffler.

By having the valves in the side muffler deletes you obtain the same result as a switch path exhaust but get to keep the stock muffler (or ours).

Thank you,

Jamie

I want to order the race headers so bad especially after i saw what it did to my friend 991.1 GT3. I can’t imagine what it would do on a 991.2 GT3 in terms of power gains.

Hey guys, any updates on the lifetime muffler? Would really like to know the sound levels with the street headers (with and without cats) and lifetime muffler.
My RS was measured at 1000rpm - 87 dB, 3000-4000rpm - 107dB and under load went up to 130dB. Street headers with test pipes and stock center muffler. Measurements done at 45 degrees 0.5meters away. Muffler inspected - no cracks.
Limit for the Ring seems to be 120dB, would be good to pass that.
Thanks for the reply in advance!

The Quiet muffler reduces dB by about 10-12dB in our testing, cats reduce sound by 4-5dB over our race system. So a Catted system with the cats in with Quiet Muffler should get you where you need to be! We're shipping mufflers now!

Do you all recommend your set up with a GMG center?
