Using GT3 for daily driver + only car?
I really love the GT3, and am considering placing an order.
How is it as an only car and as a daily driver? Is it too low for city driving? How is it in the snow?
Thank you.

You can no longer order a gt3. You can't drive it in the snow unless u get snow tires. It is very low to the ground, but you can find one with a front axle lift. If I were in New York, I would not have the gt3 as my only car. In southern CA, it can work.

Drive mine daily and live on a racetrack many a weekend out of the year.
Car has 21k miles
Still on brake pad set 1 and 3rd set of ps2 tires.
Hope that helps,
Would concur front lift is a mandate on dd...

You can't order one yet.
The configurator can be quite confusing since you can still outfit that 918, GT3 and GT3RS you always wanted and that uncle you didn't know about that left you $10MM so now you can afford one.

To OP, I would strongly recommend buying a used 991gt3 and use it as a DD. Put it on Auto and cruise around. If you for some reason don't like it. You can always get an S or GTS and not loose to much.
I'm pretty sure you'll like it.

It surprises when people don't grasp this concept.
COULD you DD a GT3 in NYC? Sure. But why would you when there are FAR better options.??!!?? To me it's like asking; can I hammer a nail in with the handle side of a screwdriver? Well, sure you CAN... But why would you when you have the option of a hammer?!?!?

I guess I should be looking at the Turbo S. I find the GT3 more appealing... especially the look.

It's just the poops for those who live where it snows. First time I ever saw the snow we drove up to Big Bear to my Uncle's Cabin, actual real uncle, and had a grand old time. This was when I was about in the Sixth grade.
I consider myself lucky not having to put up with all the Crappy Snow Weather. Though I did spend a Winter in Reno in later life. It's just where the contracts take you. Went out and bought a used Subaru STI, current year and took it by Lithia for an oil change since he paid for lifetime oil changes, with only 9K miles for $19K. Had all receipts for oil changes and everything else performed at Lithia Subaru of Reno. I was just lucky in that the guy selling the car was in a distressed mode. Listed it at $19K and I was the lucky bugger with cash in hand. It was silly how many people were calling this guy up about the car when I was test driving it. Sometimes it helps to be first and I was just the lucky Schmuck who called first that day after he listed it on the first website... Craig's list. He must have had about 20 or more calls when we were driving up Mount Rose.
