PTS window opens on MY2017 .2 991...& cost goes to $6,950!!!!
I just got a message from a respected US Porsche veteran customer that
Paint to Sample window has opened for some models of the MY2017 .2 991.
The big news is that the price has gone up from $5500 to $6,950!
According to my source, the information was confirmed by Melissa Witek
at 'Porsche Exclusive' in Atlanta. The 'Interior to Sample' window also has
opened.

Great info, as always, Eduardo.
I'm glad PTS is back. I really, really hope Porsche figures out how to better deliver this option, especially now that they've raised the price.
While I ended up not doing PTS for my GT4, I found that experience pretty frustrating.

BMW's individual paint program is $5k, up to $7,500 if they have not done the paint before. This is on a more mass market produced product.
The price does not seem excessive.

What the competition is charging for PTS...
Porsche's competition is doing re: PTS. Audi, for example,
has currently one of the lowest PTS costs in the business:
And notice that they will respond to your true Paint to Sample
color request within one week of receiving it. What? That is
simply outrageous!
And just a few years ago, any paint that had been offered
by Audi could be ordered for only $2500. That was the PTS
deal of the 21st Century!
So the colors 'Solar Orange', 'Porsche 2D8 Green', 'Nardo Gray',
'Suzuka Grey' could have been ordered on any Audi for just
$2500! That price now was increased to $3,900 & it doesn't
matter if its a Audi color or anything else!
I am about to receive a custom ordered 2016 'Nardo Gray' RS7.
Fortunately for me, 'Nardo Gray' (a solid/uni color) is a no cost
option - but only on the RS7. So I couldn't pass up the opportunity
to get that stunning color for....free. So I am very grateful for that!

The only color I want is Carmine red and it was great that it is only a $2800 upgrade for the GT4. - So I am happy.
But - something to be said for Signal Yellow and Maritime Blue - one day maybe- 991.2 GT3

'For Internal Use Only & Confidential'
not to post it on Rennlist until we get PAG to change its recent
decision (since July 2015) to keep the list 'Confidential'. The
latest date for the list I have is Nov 17th, 2015:
I will continue to fight for the right to make it public for the
foreseeable future. I just talked to Barbara Boeckenhoff,
Manager, Porsche Exclusive - Personal Design at PCNA just
last week to remind her that I wanted an opportunity to
make my case in person to PTS officials in Zuffenhausen.
We will have to wait & see if they decide to see me.
However, the fact that even though the list is 'for internal
use only & confidential', it doesn't mean that a dealer
can not pass it on to it to any legitimate Porsche customer,
or potential new customer!
So each of you that is interested in PTS on a future Porsche
custom order should ask your authorized Porsche dealer for
it & see if he will share it with you. If he/she doesn't, I would
contact Barbara Boeckenhoff at PCNA Atlanta & ask how you
are supposed to decide on a PTS colors if you can't have
access to the latest approved PTS list?
