I assume there is a buffeting issue with the windows down? and these fix that problem?

Yes there is. Horrible. Even with a helmet on, >90 mph begins buffeting that will drive you crazy. One can keep windows 1 in up, and it goes away. It has to do with how the rear view mirrors were moved to the doors. If you search, there are plenty of temporary solutions, but the AWE product works well, and looks the most OEM

Do they fit better than the carbon ones....while they work they are a disaster from a fitment standpoint, 1/4 gap along bottom??? For the money they charged for CF versions they should offer free changeout to new versions

I can't speak to the CF units, but the Inj. molded are flush on the bottom of the sill.

Piece of cake for us.
Oh nice! That makes it so much easier. I ordered a pair. Can't wait to get rid of buffeting wind noise.

Man, I'm excited about this. The noise is so damn annoying at the track.

Do the door panels need to be taken off for installation?

FYI, i did not need the flat headed tool to remove the inside piece. It just slides up and back with a little pressure from your fingers

So on the 991, we use the curve adapters?

Never mind, I figured it out. I'll have to say. They look awesome installed. Very factory looking. Now as for the design. I don't think the adapters work that well. I understand you were trying to keep cost down by doing one diffuser for a couple models but a tiny screw doesn't do that great of a job keeping in place. Also they could stand be a tad bit beefier. But after installed they do look factory which is nice.
