Default 2017 GT3 Spied

This a curious beast. Looks like a new nose but the rest of the car is the 991.1 body (tail lights, door handles, etc).

Anyway, aligns with my cleaning lady's forecast that the next GT3 will be released in 2017.

That's not the 991.2 test mule. That's the "H" engine test car.

Hope you have your deposit down already. It will be a massacre at the dealer with 500 HP/NA/manual.

It's like: do they really need to test it if it's the same engine with only the front bumper and the front light changed?

Why would a GT3 test mule be running around with no disguising tape and an actual "GT3" logo on the rear deck? Seems like a whole lot of speculation by the article (with no hard facts or even meaningful visual evidence) about a car that could just as easily be someone's personal ride with a spare set of tires at the rear and a customized front spoiler. Just sayin'....

Photoshop and not a good one. If you want the stick there is one already. Its called R. Just have to pony up the $270K. That should put a damper on the manual demand.

Haha,it's funny how it gets downplayed right away...
Test mule license plates...start with LB
Turbo wheels. Not to mention that the fronts are black and the rears are silver. Yeah, definitely an owner would do that! LMAO!
The DRL LEDs covered with mule black and white tape.
Clearly different front bumper.
Rear bumper doesn't necessarily need to be changed, unless you change hardware underneath(like plugging a couple of turbos to the engine). It hides the mule even better.
The rear badge is a nice touch to fool spotters.

All in all, remember this GT3 will be a 991.2 mid cycle refresh, not a new body 911,so look at the changes they have made in the 991.2,why would you expect the 991.2 GT3 to have more visual changes?

The Turbo wheels are the biggest giveaway - it's the 991.1 design on both front and rear. They're just running the winter set and have mismatched colors to probably for a laugh. I have both sets in silver and satin black, so could stage the same thing in an hour or less...
