Stupid to pay $315k for a GT3RS???
#46
Fair enough, I used my gt3 as my dd and likely would an RS but at this point, I will try and keep my turbo and get another gt3 when I can afford to keep both. If you can afford to keep both, I strongly would advise to!

Ask the same question about the 997rs...
Is a 997 rs worth 100k over msrp?
Yes please- guys that own one
No way in hell- guys that have owned them and moved on
It's all relevant, this is the worst place to ask

Because if you did, you wouldn't be asking this question on a forum like this.
And principle has nothing to do with this. If you were worth $315 Billion dollars, would you still not pay $315,000 for an RS that you really really wanted?
Don't be silly. It's all about money, and whether you have enough.

Don't think what others think about you purchase you buy it to make you happy, you buy it because you want it. If you can afford it why not.
I watched Chris Harris video. But I don't agree with him. Would you spend 300k for a 650s or a huracan. Or you **** have a RS? Dealers are asking 300k because there are people willing to pay that much and market will adjust it if there is no buyers. Same with 650s you buy one for 350k and you get 200k 1 year later.
Even rs price come down to 200k in the future you still drove what you wanted at the first place.
If you have 100k to burn for 2 years driving. Buy what you want. And I doubt you will lose 100k with rs in 2 years even you brought it at 300k.

Porsche is going to make some more RS for sure. I just came back form my dealer. But only small amount won't fulfill orders. My dealer got 20+ allocations till next May production. There are still over 20 people paid deposit and can't have a car.

Thanks for posting. Just make sure dealer puts that info in the system. Those that are serious about buying RS will get one. Just a matter if they want to wait or pay the premium to drive tomorrow.

I own a 991 GT3RS. I also own a Ferrari Speciale. What I can share you with this 991 GT3RS is that this car is very unique in its own right. It performs and handles well. It is for this reason the car is priced beyond MSRP, close to other Super Cars' pricing. While it is "usable" for the streets, it really is a "Track Toy."
As others have mentioned if you really like and can afford it, then go for it. Money in your account is good, but IMO the 991 GT3RS is better.
On the other hand, you asked about depreciation, I don't think this 991 GT3RS unless neglected or abused on the track, I am convinced there will hardly be any depreciation on the car from the MSRP.
On the 991.2 version, I hope it does happen to satisfy those Porsche fanatics longing to have one. However this 991 GT3RS is so new, people who we have pulsed from Porsche states will not happen anytime soon.
Just my $0.02

The point being is that, yes, he does have the money, but apparently not enough to assuage his insecurities about spending it.
Nothing wrong with that. Not many of us do.

Assuming money is not the issue, just buy it and tell anyone that asks you paid MSRP. Personally, this car would be worth $300k to me. But I'd be buying it to drive it and wouldn't care what it was worth in the future.

If you have to ask - you're not in a position to buy it.. Period. Buy a gt3
