Be careful out there guys. There was a fatality last weekend at BW. Driver apparently lost control coming out of the esses leading into sunset and hit the corner worker station.
BW is my favorite track in SoCal, sad to hear something like that.

Which run groups do you guys go in? Red? Green? I haven't run with SV for a while but going out to COTA with them in April and will probably do something with them in Feb or March.

I run in red usually because it is open passing and "race conditions". Only issue is those other cars will be full race cars or totally gutted and running on slicks etc so they throw a bunch of gunk (especially at BW) towards chasing cars.

I'm running Green. I saw the TV news story on the death. Pretty scary. I don't like the spots they have the corner stations. I've only been to BW once. I took it nice and easy since I was learning a new track. I didn't break 2 min, but hey that's OK I had fun.

Maybe it is time for virtual corner stations. Get LED "flags" at the needed locations, nice and bright when they turn on. Monitor tracks with cameras and people at safe distances. It is time to improve tracks.
