A couple years back I bought a polishing cream that claimed to be capable of polishing out scratches on auto glass. It only produced more scratches. I threw it out. Wish I could remember the product name....

My advice -- don't try to get rid of the scratch. Just wait a couple weeks and you'll forget about it.

There is really one one polish for windows that actually works. The problem is that it take about 45 minutes of grinding away to make any difference.

You need Carpro CeriGlass, a Rayon pad, a spray bottle with some water, and a Dual Action Polisher. And a ton of time and patience.

I went with Clearplex to avoid this issue. All the rock chips from canyon runs are on plastic and when it's pealed off in a decade, the windshield will be sratch free.

Not having done that, my suggestion is to just use the car and replace the windshield sometime in the future. Think of it as patina.

You've probably already checked, but did you check your insurance coverage? Some cover windshield replacements.

All good suggestions. The few scratches are really not deep and more of the hairline variety. Doubt insurance would pay for something so relatively subtle. Just bugs me that I can see it when the light hits it a certain way. Will try to get over it

I used clearplex at the fall smokies and it helped but when I removed it there was still a few small pits. Those pits would had been actual star chips if I didn't have it.
